I had promised pics over a week ago and have not managed them! So sorry, I had some health issues going on - nothing serious but it kept me preoccupied and I didn't get my pics taken!
One little pic of news though! I shot my first deer this past Sunday morning! Yep!!! It was a good size doe and I did a great job if I do say so myself! I only started hunting last year and I didn't ever get one last year and rifle season opened here on Saturday. Rain messed up most of Saturday so we didn't get much hunting in but I was patient Sunday and managed to get me one! We will do a bunch of processing this weekend and will have ground meat, sausage and cubed meat in the freezer! YIPPEE as we were out of venison!
I will get pics up soon!

Whew - long time no post...life sure does get too busy sometimes!
Last weekend was the Dyeing to Stitch retreat and Polly and I were there from Thurday to Sunday and had a blast!! We both took the Blackbird Designs and Jeanette Douglas track of classes and bought the SB kit from their class - all are wonderful!! I will post pics this weekend!
We of course shopped some at Dyeing to Stitch's shop and the Boutique set up at the hotel, we did good though and didn't buy TOO much! LOL But then alas, we went to the Mole Hole and bought LOTS of Pandora for our bracelets and necklaces! Geez, we do collect too many things! LOL I will try to get a pic of my Pandora to share too!
Now I am in trouble cause Polly and some others at the retreat have convinced me to save my pennies and go to the SB Retreat next year! So gotta work on that.
That's about it for now. Just gotta get through the rest of the week and then this weekend I will do my bestest to share some pics!
Huggers!!

Long time, no post...sorry to be away so long!
Well first off, I have been out of pocket the last few days with a stomach bug!! My Labor Day holiday was no such thing...I got sick late Sunday night/early Monday morning with the stomach flu and it was tough. Felt ok on Tuesday and made it to work but wasn't quite 100% and then on Wednesday I had to go home sick as it was back on me! UGH!!! I think I am finally on the mend and am at work again!
No stitching for me lately, been reading mostly, I read Lip Service by Susan Mallery, Undone by Karin Slaughter and now am reading Slave Girls by Wensley Clarkson. I am hoping to stitch some this weekend - we will just have to see how things go!
Lastly, here are some pics from my game camera! Deer season will soon be upon us and we have some feeders out and our cameras. There are lots of does coming to our feeders but right now these are the only bucks we are seeing. We have to load up the freezer this year as we are completely out of venison and we can't have that again!

That's it for now, just wanted everyone to know I was still here and not let ya'll forget me!
Have a great day!

Finishing Frenzy!!
Well my sweety has been gone since Thursday on his fishing trip to Grand Isle, LA with the guys and I have been finishing stuff while he has been gone! He will be arriving home later this evening and hopefully he will let me bring the fishing pics with me to work tomorrow and I can post those for ya'll to see! But for now it's just my stitching!
First off is Bent Creek's Blue Moon made into a cube! This one will be going to live at my sweety's house. Not sure yet where exactly I will put it but it will go in with our decor there better than mine here!

Next we have Shepherd's Bush Best Witches finished into a large pin keep style but not going to put the pins around it. Will just display this one on an easel during the Halloween season!

Next my snowman Christmas ornie. This is from one of the JCS ornie issues and I stitched it over one.

Next is an older LK freebie - can't remember the name of it right now. Finished this one into a pinkeep!

Lastly, we have another Christmas ornie, this one is LHN from one of the JCS ornie issues and it is also stitched over one.

Well, I think that's it for my finishing this weekend. I decided to pick up and put away all my finished supplies and maybe stitch some this afternoon when I am done with laundry!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Whew - what a long week but the end is near!!
TGIF! I am so ready for the weekend! My sweety is on a guy weekend fishing in Grand Isle, LA and I am staying home to rest and relax and have a girls night out! What fun! I miss him but I sure hope he comes back with lots of shrimp and fish!
Work has been kinda busy but not too bad, just so hot the first part of the week and then fighting rain part of the week and such as that! So many of my customers want me to tell them when it's gonna rain - well sorry guys but I just don't know - weatherman says this and ya'll do whatever ya want! LOL
My oldest son has been home for a few weeks but heads back today for the beginning of his third year of college. Crossing my fingers that all goes well this semester and that he can find a part time job to help with expenses and that his grades stay up so he can retain his HOPE scholarship!
My youngest started school last Friday and so far so good, I think! LOL He swears his grades are doing fine but until I see it with my eyes I am not so sure! We shall see!
I had two Drs. appts yesterday and all went well. I have to get my orthotics refurbished and that is gonna cost more than I wanted but oh well, gotta have those special insoles or my feet will start hurting again! Then on to the allergy Dr. and he told me I can come off of one of my medicines for now and the other in a month and we are going to hope the allergy shots will make it so I don't need them at all! Crossing the fingers!
Lastly we have some items that I got the "finishing" done on over the last few nights.
First is Barbara Ana Designs - Wish Upon a Star - it's a gift for my cousin and I finished it into a flatfold -

Next are a couple of pinkeeps I made from some small freebies I stitched a while back! Now to figure out where to display them!

That's it for now! Have a great weekend everyone!

Back from our quick trip to Ohio....
My sweety and I left last Friday for a quick trip to Ohio, we spent the night in Wytheville, WV and ate at the Log House 1776 Restaurant on Friday. I highly recommend you try this place out should you be in the area. It's a really neat place with lots of history!
We headed out early on Saturday morning to make the rest of our trip and arrived in OH by lunch time. Spent the afternoon on the lake for a bit then headed in to get ready for Skip's surprise birthday party! Below is a picture of the birthday boy! They kept the secret from him - he had NO CLUE! They even made him hide his eyes as we walked up so that he could be surprised the Phil made the trip up to see him!

Next we have a picture of my sweety and I just before we left for the party...yeah I know, I wasn't smiling! LOL A friend was taking the picture and he snapped it before we were ready but oh well! We look okay I suppose!

Okay, a few of my pictures got out of order. This one was taken Sunday evening when we all met up at a bar on the lake to listen to music and have a few beers! Below is a picture of The Sticks and Stones as they were 40+ years ago - well member wise - they didn't look exactly like this! LOL
Left to Right - Ronn Price, Barry Lederer, Bill Price, Skip Anderson and Phil Mick! You may remember pics from the July 4th party where Ronn and Barry were playing with Tom Fowle! These guys are all great and they love thier music and each other!
Next we have a picture of the love of my life playing the drums at Skip's party! He had not played in nearly 40 years! He would love to be able to get back into and we are going to work on getting him a drum set when we get a big enough place!

Here is Phil and Shane! Shane and his wife Lisa are gracious enough to share their lake house with us whenever we visit OH and we greatly appreciate it! They are the best!

Lastly we have some nature pictures we took on our last night in Ohio. We were out on Buckeye Lake and took these pics from the boat!

We had a really great trip and it was so wonderful to see old friends and meet new friends! A really great weekend all around!
I did get a little stitching done but no pics of that as yet! Maybe in a few days!
Now I have to get back to work and get motivated!
Hugs to everyone!
